The castles

 

Chateau-Beynac

Castelnaud , museum of war in the Middle Ages (7 km).

Beynac , one of the most beautiful feudal fortresses in Périgord (10 km).

Les Milandes , world-famous thanks to Joséphine Baker (11 km).

Puymartin, a unique mythological cabinet in Périgord (20 km).

Commarque , fortified castle and troglodyte dwellings (26 km).

Losse , jewel of the Renaissance and remarkable garden (34 km).

Fénelon , feudal fortress surrounded by three fortified walls, important collections of furniture, weapons and works of art (18 km).

Biron , one of the four baronies of Périgord, a major site in Aquitaine (46 km).

Le Paluel , a 15th century building, served as a backdrop for the film "The Tattooed One". A rare visit to the 50m long medieval underground passage, carved entirely into the rock (15 km).

Jardin-Marqueyssac

• Exotic garden of La-Roque-Gageac , Mediterranean vegetation at the foot of the cliff (open all year round, 5 km) and Bamboo grove .

• Albarède Gardens, charm and poetry in the Céou valley, Saint-Cybranet (6 km).

• The hanging gardens of the Château de Marqueyssac, the most visited in Périgord, with its new arrival, the allosaurus "Kan", Vézac (open all year, 9 km). Visit by candlelight, every Thursday evening in July and August (except in bad weather). Bring a picnic.

• Carsac-Aillac water gardens , dedicated to lotuses and water lilies (10 km).

• Cadiot Gardens , English, Italian and ornamental orchard, Carlux (20 km).

• Jardins du Manoir d'Eyrignac , exceptional French gardens , Salignac (open all year round, 25 km).
